Core Data Services (CDS) view in ABAP for SAP HANA is used to rearrange table fields distributed across a number of database tables in an application according to user requirements from the SAP ABAP source code implementation.

You can define CDS view using ABAP CDS statement DEFINE VIEW. CDS view can be used to define the structure of a SQL view and regarded as a projection into one or many dictionary tables or views.
