How do I capture the different components of my production cost?

SAP CO has an organizational unit within a controlling area called activity type that helps to allocate internal activities cost that are incurred by a specific cost center, such as a production or manufacturing cost center. The activity types, which include standard activities like machine hours, power and labor charges, are planned and assigned by maintaining various quantities which are measured in activity units.
