How does SAP FI integrate with SAP MM?

SAP FI integrates with the material management module across the several components of the system. This includes but not limited to the material and vendor master, procurement and inventory management. A key component of the integration is the valuation class, movement type and transaction event key which are critical in the determination of automatic account posting.
