What is the difference between ECC 6.0 and S/4HANA?

Put it in the simplest possible terms, S/4HANA is the newest version of SAP’s ERP software. ECC 6.0 is the previous version.
Most companies are using ECC 6 right now and SAP has announced that they will support this release until 2027. Over the next few years we will see a transition from ECC 6 to S/4HANA.
