Change more than the amount of the cash payment

What causes this issue?

The change (difference between the total of the payments/amount received
and the payment amount) is larger than the amount of the cash payment.

System Response

It is not possible to return the change because only cash payments can
be given back.

How to fix this error?

Correct the payment amount or the cash payment.

Procedure for System Administrators

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
