Invalid definition for element &1

What causes this issue?

It was determined when checking a data container that the obligatory
element '&V1&' is defined incorrectly.
This is probably due to a Customizing error.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

concerned.
