Period grid for infostructure &1 is not defined

What causes this issue?

No period grid has been defined for info structure &1.

System Response

The system can not continue processing.

How to fix this error?

For an internal info structure please check the settings for update
control in Customizing for the logistics information system. In the
case of a pseudo information structure for external billing data, you
have to specifiy the period grid in general REA Customizing under
"Control of Declaration/Origin Movement Data".
