Number of periods for useful life must be smaller than in FY variant

What causes this issue?

You have specified &V1& periods for the useful life.
This number of periods is greater than the number of periods defined for
the fiscal year variant (&V2&). This is <ZH>not</> allowed.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

Correct the number of periods. It must be less than &V2&.
Note:
You must specify the useful life as a combination of years and periods.
Example:
You have a fiscal year with 12 posting periods; the useful life is 5
years.
For the useful life, you then enter <LB>5 years</> and <LB>0 periods</>.
It is <ZH>not</> correct to enter <LB>0 years</> and <LB>60 periods</>.
