Quantity-related retirement not possible in asset &

What causes this issue?

In the posting year, asset acquisitions from previous years exist for
the asset &V1& &V2&. In the same or following years, however, new
acquisitions have been posted. Therefore, an exact retirement amount
cannot be calculated from the quantity entered.

System Response

Quantity related retirement is not allowed here.

How to fix this error?

Calculate the retirement amount or percentage.
