Posting rules in area & are different from area &

What causes this issue?

The depreciation posting run cannot be carried out. The posting rules
in the derived area &V1& are different from the rules for area &V2&.
Since these two areas are mutually dependent, they cannot have
different posting cycles or different distribution rules (for
proportional distribution or depreciation for past periods)

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

Correct your posting rules using the appropriate Customizing function.
After you make this correction, you can start the depreciation
posting run again.
