Grouping type &1 has distribution-relevant installation role &2

What causes this issue?

<DS:DE.INSTROLE>Installation role</> &v2& is allocated to the
<DS:DE.INSTGRTYPE>grouping type</> &v1&. The
<DS:DE.DISTREL>Distribution-Relevant</> field is selected in this
installation role. However, a <DS:DE.DISTTYPE>distribution type</> has
not been entered in the grouping type.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
