Characteristic value assignment for material & cannot be changed

What causes this issue?

The characteristic value assignment of directly produced component &V1&
cannot be changed.

System Response

The change to the characteristics does not result in a fresh BOM
explosion.

How to fix this error?

Delete the components and add them again. You will then be able to
change the configuration.
