Number of serial numbers (&1) exceeds order quantity (&2)

What causes this issue?

The number of serial numbers specified (&V1&) exceeds the order quantity
(&V2&). Because the order is to be distributed to an MES, the excess
serial numbers may have to be deleted.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

You can continue the Save process or invoke the maintenance function for
serial numbers.
