Text module &1 for text ID &2 is &3 characters too long

What causes this issue?

This error can occur under the following conditions:
In Customizing for the shift note type &V4&, the number of characters
that can be entered in the long text is limited
A text module is being inserted either manually or automatically
The text module contains more characters than are still available for
entry. Line breaks and characters already entered are counted in this
case.

System Response

The text module is not adopted.

How to fix this error?

Choose a different text module
In Customizing, increase the number of enterable characters
Reduce the size of the text module

Procedure for System Administrators

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
