No linear characteristics are assigned to the technical object

What causes this issue?

You want to change linear data for characteristic values of a technical
object. However, this is not possible for one of the following reasons:
There is no classification data assigned to the technical object.
The assigned class does not contain any linear characteristics.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

Make sure that classification data is assigned to the technical object
and that the classification contains characteristics that are defined as
linear characteristics.
