Graphic cannot be displayed; start points and end points are the same
Message type: E = Error
Message class: EAML -
Message number: 076
Message text: Graphic cannot be displayed; start points and end points are the same
What causes this issue?
The graphic cannot be displayed because all the objects have the same
start points and end points. This could be due to one of the following:
All objects refer to an object located at a single point.
The Customizing settings for the unit of measurement determine how the
system converts and rounds the UoM values. When the system converts the
values for the start and end points to a different UoM (for example,
from meters to miles), the Customizing settings could cause the start
and end points to appear to have the same value.
The system only displays 3 decimal places. If the converted value has
more than 3 decimal places, the system rounds it to the third decimal
place.
Example: You have maintained objects for a functional location in
meters. You then call up these objects in miles. The system tries to
convert the start point, which is at meter 1 and the end point, which is
at meter 2, to the equivalent values in miles. However, one meter equals
0.000621 miles. The system can only display up to 3 decimal places, so
the start point is displayed as 0.001 and the end point is also
displayed as 0.001 (since 2 meters equals 0.00124, which is rounded to
0.001).
System Response
