Postings for account type & ( posting key & ) are not defined

What causes this issue?

The data that was entered is inconsistent. Account type "&v1&" must not
be used in conjunction with posting key "&v2&".

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
