What causes this issue?

According to Customizing, the handling unit identification should be
assigned for this packaging material from number range interval &V1&.
This number range interval is not maintained, however.

System Response

The handling unit was not created.

How to fix this error?

Maintain a number range interval &V1& for the HU_VEKP number range
object for internal number assignment.
