What causes this issue?

Cost accounting is not activated for company code &V1&. However,
controlling area &V2& has been determined for this company code.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

If you entered the controlling area yourself, delete your entry or
ensure that the controlling area is assigned to company code &V1&.
Alternately, check whether controlling area &V2& must be assigned to
the company code and make this assignment if required. If this
assignment is not required, determine how the controlling area is
derived on posting and change this derivation.
