User &1 not found in LDAP server &2 (used search filter: "&3&4")

What causes this issue?

The user in the SAP system for which the process of delayed
authentication should be prepared in the directory service cannot be
found in the directory service.
This identification makes use of an LDAP search operation using a search
filter derived from the field mapping for the directory service and data
from the SAP user master data.
The search is issued as subtree search in the base entry of the LDAP
server entry.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
