DN is invalid

What causes this issue?

The Distinguished Name transferred to the directory is incorrect. It
does not correspond to the permitted syntax.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

Check the entered DN. In some applications, the DN is constructed from
the Basis DN, which is set in the LDAP server. Check this too.
