Message text: Batch definition together with WM staging of release parts not approp.
What causes this issue?
Material &V1& is handled in batches. The <GL:batch>batch</> was
defined in the order although this material was defined in the
<GL:warehouse_management_system>WM system</> via the
<GL:control_cycle>control cycle</> as a release order part.
Processing of release order parts in the WM system has the following
special characteristics:
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
<GL:material_staging>Material staging</> for release order parts isalways executed without order assignment, that is, the required
quantity of a component is requested for several orders.
The release order parts are managed for production in the WM system in
a fixed production storage bin defined by the <GL:control_cycle>control
cycle</>.
In this way, all batches for all orders of a release order part are
managed in one production storage bin. The batches that are defined in
the order can be mixed in the storage bin and have no reference to the
individual orders. Therefore, you have no guarantee that the
individual batches are withdrawn from the production storage bin for
the right orders.
For this reason, the components of the release order material should be
requested in the WM system without batch specifications and the batch
in the order should only be confirmed to the order after a particular
batch has been withdrawn from the production storage bin (currently
only possible manually) or it should be specified specifically during
the GI consumption posting. It is also possible, if the batch number
does not have to be confirmed to the order, that the WM system
determines this number during the consumption posting and passes it on
to the IM system. These batches are selected in the WM system from the
respective production storage bin according to the GI date.
Check whether a specific batch definition is appropriate for the
material in the order and then, if required, remove the batch
specification.
