What causes this issue?

You wish to delete a selection version. This is only possible when the
variant created for the selection version is also deleted.
The variant belonging to the selection version you chose is protected.
It can therefore only be deleted by the user who created this selection
variant.

System Response

The system does not delete the selection version and the respective
variant that you chose.

How to fix this error?

Please contact either the user who created the selection variant or
your system administrator.
