Date of production lies in the future

What causes this issue?

In the material master record, a total shelf life has been specified.
Therefore, the system interprets the date you entered as the
production date and calculates the shelf life expiration date on the
basis of this production date plus the total shelf life.
The date you entered lies in the future.

System Response

Depending on how the system is set, this message is either a warning or
an error message.

How to fix this error?

INCLUDE NA_EINGABE_PRUEFEN
Do not enter the expiration date of the material but its production
date.
