Price control indicator inconsistent: & -> see long text

What causes this issue?

In the material master record (Accounting view data), price control is
neither <LB>S</> (standard price) nor <LB>V</> (moving average price).

System Response

Therefore, it is not possible to update the stock value in the material
master record.

How to fix this error?

Cancel current processing.
Choose <LS>Material -> Change</> from the Material Master menu and
maintain the price control in the Accounting view.
Check the price.
