What causes this issue?

You have not entered a session name. However, the latter is needed for
the creation of the <GL:batch_input_session>batch input session</>. The
session will be stored under this name, which will serve as a selection
criterion for subsequent processing of the session.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
