Data element for field &-& has changed

What causes this issue?

If a particular data element is not assigned to a view field, the
view field uses the data element of the base field.
If the data element or the domain of the base field was changed, this
change is taken into account the next time the view is activated.
The change generally only has an effect on the documentation which is
displayed on the screen for this field.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

When changing the data element for a field, you shold also activate the
views containing this field. This will be done automatically in a later
release.
