Customizing data for version type &1 is inconsistent

What causes this issue?

In version type &v1& the field or field package &v2& is not contained
in the customizing tables. It is possible that a transport for creating
these fields in the customizing tables has not yet been imported.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

Carry out the following steps:
If you want to newly add the field or field package carry out the
following activities in the Implementation Guide (IMG):
Logistics - General -> Material master -> Spezialization and Versioning
-> <DS:SIMG.MGV_C_VTYPECUST_WRK>Maintain version type</>.
Import the order to which the field or field package &v2& is to be
added.
