No stored document displayed for assignment

What causes this issue?

No documents which can be assigned were displayed. It is only possible
to assign documents which have been displayed.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

Please display the document which is to be assigned.
