No report category could be determined automatically

What causes this issue?

The system attempted to assign a report type to work center &v1&
automatically. A suitable entry, however, could not be found in the
assignment table.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

When you first enter the defects recording function, enter a report
type or make sure the assignment table for report type is maintained in
the customizing application for defects recording.
