Defect items were automatically activated

What causes this issue?

You changed the notification that was created in defects recording. As
a result, the system automatically activated the notification.
The following changes will cause a notification to be activated
automatically:
Recording tasks
Entering a priority
Entering a code or short text for the notification
Entering a coordinator or responsible department

System Response

All defects for an inspection lot or operation (including the
characteristics for the affected the operation) are included in a
single quality notification. The quality notification is initially
inactive (that is, it merely serves to document the defects). Once the
notification is activated, the defects must be processed as a quality
notification.

How to fix this error?

Procedure for System Administrators

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
