You cannot use master inspection char. as "incomplete copy model"

What causes this issue?

You want to use a master inspection characteristic that has been
changed without history as an incomplete copy model. This is not
possible because the master inspection characteristic is being used:
As a reference in a task list
In a material specification

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

Choose one of the following options:
Define the master inspection characteristic either as a reference
characteristic or a complete copy model.
Cancel the references to the master inspection characteristic in the
task lists or material specifications.
The uses can be displayed with the aid of the where-used list.
Change the master inspection characteristic <ZH>with </> history.
