PDS was not generated for product variant because of error in KMAT (RPM)

What causes this issue?

The production data structure (PDS) is not generated for the product
variant
because the production data structure for the associated configurable
product could not be generated. For products that are planned with
the same RPM, the production data structures of all involved products
must be generated.

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

Correct the error that terminated the generation.
Note the error messages that were issued for the product variant as well
as the errors that occurred during the PDS generation for the associated
configurable product.
