Business partner creation failed for organizational unit &1

What causes this issue?

When you create a new organizational unit, a related business partner is
created automatically. This automatic business partner creation failed.

System Response

The system saves the organizational unit without an assigned business
partner.

How to fix this error?

For transportation management, a business partner has to be assigned to
every organizational unit. Since the automatic creation and assignment
of a business partner failed, you must perform the following steps
manually:
Check and correct the business partner system settings
In general, the
<DS:SIMG._CABP_BUCF>internal number range</> for business partners is
defined inconsistently or the
<DS:SIMG._CABP_V_TB001>standard grouping for internal number assignment
</> is inconsistent.
Create a new
<DS:TRAN.BP>business partner</> as an <LS>Organization </>with the
business partner role <LS>Organizational Unit </>(BUP004).
Execute the <AB>/SCMB/ORG_CREATE_BP_ASSIGNMENT</> report to assign the
newly created business partner to the organizational unit &v1&.

Procedure for System Administrators

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
