Packaging material type &1 has no interval for number assignment

What causes this issue?

In Customizing activity <ZK>Assign Number Range Intervals to Packaging
Material Types</>, you did not assign a number range to the packaging
material.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

Assign an internal or external number range to the packaging material
type.
