No material-related characteristic determined in Customizing

What causes this issue?

The Customizing of each query for data retraction must contain a
material-related characteristic for the allocation table.
The Customizing of query &V1& for method &V2& does not contain a
material-related characteristic (material, merchandise group, or node in
the material hierarchy). The query either does not contain an
appropriate material or it was not taken into account (or removed) when
the Customizing entries were defined.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
