What are internal orders?

Internal orders are one of the cost objects in SAP controlling. They are temporary cost collectors which can be grouped and used for planning, budgeting and availability control. There are four broad categories of internal orders. These are investment orders, accrual orders, overhead orders and orders with revenue.
