First - a quick over view on master data. Master data is data that's kept in the database for the long term. In contrast to transactional data, records that are considered master data are rarely subject to changes. The primary master data used in the Sales and Distribution module includes material master data, Business Partner master data (Customer master data) and pricing conditions records. Others include credit data and output records.
