Overview

Planning strategy 10 and 40 are both forms of make-to-stock planning strategies. Planning strategy 10 make-to-stock (MTS) production is a pure MTS strategy that is utilized in mass continuous production organizations where customer orders do not have significant influence on the production plan. Planning strategy 40 (planning with final assembly) is beneficial when forecasts are done for finished products. The important feature of this strategy is the ability to react quickly to customers requirements despite having a forecast.
