Incorrect transfer of period interval (->long text)

What causes this issue?

When function module &V1& was called, the period intervals for source
and target version were transferred incorrectly.
Source version period interval: &V2&
Target version period interval: &V3&

System Response

The module terminated processing.

How to fix this error?

For period intervals, make sure that

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

The to-period is greater than or equal to the from-period
The period intervals have the same length.
